Meet the team...
We have a great team waiting to give you tips and inspiration for what to sew with our fabrics.
So without further ado, here is the team!
Hi! I’m Laura, a.k.a The Specky Seamstress. I love all things sewing, tea, cricket, gaming, engineering and cats and I talk about most of these things over on my Youtube channel! I picked up dressmaking in summer 2018 and I love a novelty/quirky print to cheer up my wardrobe. My first stretch makes were made in Loubodu fabrics and I haven’t looked back! I make for myself, occasionally my Mum and very occasionally my husband and am working to make more woven makes in my wardrobe.
Hi, I’m Jenny-a teacher living in Northern Ireland with my loving husband and 4 kids who keep me busy, as well as 2 dogs, 3 cats, 3 hens, a rabbit, a goat and some sheep! I took up sewing to try and be a bit more creative and have been loving it ever since. Making time is an issue-but little and often seems to work for me! You can find me on instagram at @jab_sews.
Hi, name is Holly, my mum taught me as a little girl, but I hadn’t sewn anything since I was a teenager, until about 5 years ago. I got a sewing machine for my birthday and started by making cushions and bags. A couple of years ago I moved on to sewing clothes, after a few disasters, I discovered Tilly and the Buttons and sewed myself a Cleo. I haven’t stopped since and mainly sew independent patterns. I love creating anything I feel like wearing. Aside from sewing I work in an office part time and I have two Ice Hockey obsessed little boys. So I spend a lot of time at the ice rink for their matches and practices. This means I’m always looking for something warm and cosy to sew! You can find me on instragram @hollyhocks77
My name is Camilla and I am a primary school teacher in Nottinghamshire, UK. I live with my husband and our 2 rescue dogs Wilf and Oliver. In my free time I enjoy being outdoors trail running and sewing. I'm definitely a selfish sewist - 99% of what I make is for me although I do enjoy making and giving gifts every now and again. Dresses are my most favourite thing to sew and wear but I am always trying to learn and improve - though I'm still scared of making trousers! Lastly, I'm incredibly excited to be part of the Loubodu Fabrics Blogger Team. You can find me on instagram @ccmercer
Hi, I'm Cath, also known as cath_craft. I started sewing in November 2018 and I've been happily creating my handmade wardrobe ever since. I love the creativity and mindfulness that sewing brings. With two young children it's the perfect hobby for me to do in the comfort of my own home. I look forward to each part of a sewing project, from choosing fabric to sewing the final touches. As well as sewing, I love green tea, dark chocolate and heading into the great outdoors with my family (in a snuggly handmade sweater of course!)
Hello everyone, I am Kealy better known as ‘Voice of a Creative’. I live in Bristol with my husband and beautiful cat Bramble. I am an art teacher by day and love all things creative.
I have been sewing since I was 16 but making clothes for myself and my family for the last 10 years. I enjoy working in jersey but am starting to get back into woven fabrics. I like to hack patterns by swapping fabrics and adding design details. You can find me on Instagram @voiceofacreative or on YouTube www.youtube.com/voiceofacreative/
Hi, I’m Dani and I’m a sewist who lives in Manchester with my partner and puppy, Gruff. I have been dressmaking since April 2017, which began with the quest to make a wardrobe of fabulous shirts! (I love a challenge!) My favourite things to sew are shirts, jeans and sweatshirts. You could describe my wardrobe as colourful, full of prints and patterns but practical. My most precious make is probably my faux-fur leopard print bomber jacket, which involved many a head-scratching moment! I love a classic pattern with a twist! My dressmaking journey has been largely documented on Instagram (@pocketortwo), and sporadically on my YouTube channel (Pocket Or Two).
Hi everyone, I’m Tamlyn (also known as Sewn on the Tyne) and I live in Newcastle Upon Tyne with my husband and two gorgeous cats, Ziggy & Chester.
I got hooked on dressmaking around the middle of 2018 and I haven’t stopped since. The feeling of turning a flat piece of fabric in to a personalised, well-fitting (usually!) item of clothing is just second to none. I love sewing with both wovens & knits equally, as they’re both satisfying in different ways, but I have to admit that there’s nothing like a super cosy & snuggly sweatshirt that you can whip up in no time on the Overlocker!

Hello! I'm Bear from Bear & Bobbin! I create eco-friendly and reusable products to make the world a slightly more sustainable place. I love to sew and anything crafty, my first project was cutting up my mum's ready-to-sew homemade dress when I was 4 - I was not in her good books!
Since then I have tried my hand at different crafts, from knitting to jewellery making, but it always comes back to sewing in the end. I love the process, and the zen feeling of being behind the machine (when it behaves!). At the moment my time is predominantly spent between my full-time job and sewing for my shop, but my aim is to allow myself some more "me time" and make more of my own clothes whilst moving away from the "Fast Fashion" trend. You get such an amazing feeling putting something on when you've made it, especially when you get a compliment ("Thanks - it's 'me made'!"), and every piece has a story and memory attached to it.
Thanks for reading, and I look forward to sharing my sewing journey with you!
I live in Devon with my Husband and daughter and have been sewing since early 2017. I
started sewing to reconnect with my post-baby body and find some time to do something
for me. From there it’s just taken off: most of my wardrobe is now handmade and my fabric
stash is a little out of control!
My favourite fabric to use has to be Viscose, I love how drapey and soft it is, but jersey does come in a close second as I do enjoy whipping up the occasional thing for my daughter. I’m really looking forward to using Lorrelle’s amazing fabrics and sharing my makes with you. You can find me on instagram at @astitchtale
Hi! My name is Alison and I'm a mum of 2 and part time museum curator living in Birmingham. I've been sewing for 4 years but I've been generally crafty all my life! I'll give most things a go and can't sit on the sofa of an evening without doing something with my hands! This year has been a year of firsts, making my first pair of jeans and a coat, and I'm excited to be challenging myself more.I also make things for my family but prefer to sew for myself!
I am also a blogger for Samantha Claridge Studio and have pattern tested for the Digital Pattern Library and Megan Nielsen Patterns. I have my own blog, sewaddicted.co.uk, where I document all my makes and you can often find myself trawling Instagram for inspiration!
